Ashamed
Family disputes suck. I hope I will never get involved in stuff like this. My cousin, Irene, will be having her wedding two weeks from now and some of my uncles, aunts, and even my dad wont be attending. From what I've gathered, this involves some dispute of the the estate of my my late grandfather. Long story short, I think this is utterly stupid. They should, at the very least, be going for Irene's sake. So, I'm now planning a trip down to LA to go to Irene's wedding (w/o my folks). Oh well.

My frustration with this is rather simple. It's about principle (or lack thereof). I get all this crap about family loyalty, filial piety, and cohesion and yet I see crap like this among my dad and some of his siblings. It pisses me off. And to think that all this time, I bore the name of noble, resilient people.

Catching Up Again
I really must apologize on not updating this blog as of recently. I go through all this trouble to make it easier to put entries and yet, I'm totally neglecting it. Go figure that one. Anyways, much as been going on as of late.

The Yosemite/Half Dome trip was great. It's never a dull view up there. "The not-so Dirty Dozen", as I like to call us, were: Alvin, Amy, Cheng, Eric, Greg, Jason, Jessica, Jimmy, Mike C., Mike T., Nelson, and myself. I was training to to go even faster than the "Original Four Astronauts" (Eric, Mike C., Nel, and me) did 3 years ago. However, I found it worthy to just hang back and be accountable for the safety of other people. I must have done a headcount every 10-15 minutes or so. Fortunately, no one fell off the mountain and the most I've had to use of my Med Kit was to mitigate some mosquito stings. In fact, all 12 of us made it to the top of the Dome! Good times indeed.

In the latest drama with SJSU, my appeal finally went through and I will be starting school next monday. Long story short: too much drama went into trying to build a solid arguement for trying to get in this late. Now I have short amount of time to get ready for the school year. Oh well, count your blessings, right? Afterall, I got in.

Been watching a lot of Band of Brothers with Manuel and Julie lately. For those you who might not know, it was an HBO miniseries based on the Stephen Ambrose WWII book of the same title. It's a story of "E" Company, 506 PIR of the 101st Airborne Division from Normandy to V-E Day. All the chracters in it are very well portrayed. I've often felt like I had to explain some of the subtleties of military stuff to Manuel and Julie as we were watching. I tend to appreciate accurate storytelling. On another note, the theme song of the series seems to make me want to cry a little. I'm beginning to wonder if the music is a reflection of who I am and what I want to be. Just a thought.

Random Belated Stuff
This week, I'll be closing out the final week of summer school. For the past month, I've been waking up early and going to sleep late. By the time the smoke clears, I will have 3 quarter system classes done. Hell of a way to spend 6 weeks, huh?

I've picked up two side-jobs to do some design work for. With school over, I should be putting in some deidcated time into these two projects. These should be some pretty good projects to work on.

In my spare time (sparingly spare), I've been catching up some SG-1 episodes and trying to keep fit. I should already be able to handle Half Dome in this current state, but you never know.
