News Briefs
Ok, I'm going to distance myself from trying to sentence all of the stuff that's been happening so I'll just list whatever comes to to mind right now.

I am very much missing someone right now. She's halfway around the globe right now on a business trip. Boy I do miss talking to her. Can't wait till November comes around.

On another note, I got a 268 on the APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test) and I'm feeling quite stoked. My next immediate goal is to break the 270 line. We wont see how that goes until next semester, I think. We will see then.

Been working on a Typography assignment and let me tell you this: I had no idea that SO much thought went into the arrangement of text on production material. Sure, you may have thought about it a little on making a flyer or a web page. However, if you were aware of how much thought went into a billboard ad for a company like Apple, you'd be amazed!

I got another Art History midterm coming up and I'm going to studying like crazy for this one. I got a "C" on the last one and I totally think I should have gotten an "A". I suppose I should at least be thankful for what I got at least.

Last night, I realize that I need to get better at chess. Alvin's other half, Jen, beat me twice. It's too much like me to start thinking tactically and not strategically when the crucial plays come up. Got to break out of that sometimes.

I'm realizing for myself that good leadership is not just about being logistically sound or strategically proficient, but also of the essence of appearance as well. By this, all of the subtleties of the person in "the chair" can make a difference in the perceptions and morale of subordinates. I guess what I'm hankering at is respect (and I mean the real kind). Whether or not I can live up to it is another issue.

I'll be glad when this semester will be finally over. I'll have almost of month of Winter Break to smile about. I swear I will not make next semester so studio heavy. Designing stuff takes a bit of time.

On a final note, I think I should try to blog more often.
Many Little Things
As the title implies, nothing monumental has really been going on, but a lot of little things have been going on in my life as of late. Mostly, small accomplishments and weird situations and what not. I'd write about it now but I'll put it in bite sized format in my next posts. Sorry if I haven't been keeping up.

Cryptic??
Ok, ok...a few of you have mentioned that my writing recently has been very cryptic and and you don't understand a lick of what I'm talking about. To be quite honest with you, this is actually done on purpose. Don't worry though because this is something that I anticipate to be temporary.

See, this has all been the result of some rather profound things that have been happening in my life lately. Don't worry, because in due time, I'll reveal what that is. In the meantime, let this be a puzzle or a brainteaser or something.
Mono Lake
Went to the Mono Lake area this weekend. Took a lot of photos with a photo group and did a lot of thinking. Good stuff.

I somehow wished I was at John B-day thing tho. Found out about it when I got back.

Sworn Again
For others it was a big deal. For me, it was hardly anything at all. Seems to make sense, I guess. Yesterday, I raised my right hand and took an oath along with some other students who are also contracting to do the ROTC program at SCU. Everybody else seemed to make a big deal about it because it sounds like they were "signing their life away" to Uncle Sam. For me, it was hardly a shock at all. See, I'm a Prior Service cadet and I've already said the exact same oath a while ago. So as you may now see, that "shock" is simply no shock at all to me.

Anyways, this appears to be the beginning of something interesting. However, this can only mean that my free time will be less free and I'll have less time. *sigh*
