SG-1 forever!
I'm just about finished with Stargate SG-1 season 5 on DVD. Man this show is awesome. I like it because its a good mix of sci-fi adventure, geo-political intrigue, and just good old smart dialogue. Talk about a show that spends good attention to small details..like the ones I look for (military protocols, procedures, etc). Definitely not "cookie-cutter" sci-fi. I also like how Richard Dean Anderson (Col. O'Neill) ad-libs some of his lines and actions. It's funny.
Yes, I still think Teryl Rothery (Dr. Frasier) is still smartly cute, but I no longer fly out of my seat when she comes on scene. I think I'm past that stage. =)
I finally see how Michael Shank's character (Dr. Jackson), dies. Sure, I know he somehow comes back in later episodes. But even then, its sad how he goes. He's a character that is very aware of other cultures and is very concerned with right and wrong. I would have to say that Dr. Jackson is the character that I identify with the most. If you want to get a glimpse at how I act sometimes, just watch him for a while.
