4-day Weekend
It is finally here. A 4-day federal holiday weekend. WOO HOO.
On Thursday, I got a 290 on my APFT. This is my highest ever. I didn't even think that I could make my normal average given the higher altitudes and all. Man, I feel like a track star. Now, in order for me to get a perfect 300, I'll need to run 3 seconds faster and max out 8 more situps. =)

Also, I found out that my financial issue has been partially resolved and that I'll be paid for the entire month of August come Sept 7. Although I wont believe it till I see it, it sounds like a step in the right direction. If only the travel reimbursement and stuff could be fixed, I should be ok.

I have to admit, it was only tonight that I became aware of the scope of how bad the New Orleans issue is in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. It made me pray ever more fervently.

Spending devoted time with my woman now. I really missed her. I think she can tell...
