Attention!
I graduated on the 15th and we left AZ on the 16th. A funny thing happened to me on the way back.....I'm now engaged!

Yes, sports fans, it's true. Yours truly will be tying the knot at a time in the near future.

It was funny how this all came together. At first, I was set to do this on New Year's Eve. Then she scheduled some seminars for us to go to during that time. Then, I wanted to propose at a famous botannical garden in Phoenix. Then an hour-long traffic accident on the 10 freeway, burned up all our time. Then we almost didn't get to stay overnight in Palm Springs. But in the end, we stayed overnight at the beautiful
Ingleside Inn.

I kinda struggled in finding a venue to do this at. I thought about the dinner table, but then she probably wouldn't like that much attention drawn to her. Then, I started looking for a park in downtown (but we never found it). So then while we were back watching CSI, I went out to check out the courtyard. It was perfect. So after the show, I took her out for a walk in the courtyard and sat her down. I got down on both knees (yes, both) and gave her the ring. It was so beautiful.

Wish I had a photo of the ring but it's in the shop being re-sized (something that the original jewelry gallery in Tucson said they did but didn't). You'll see it in about a week's time.

Anyhow, this marks a new beginning for us. If you'd like to hear it from
her, by all means.

Cheers.

I've been Tagged!!!
So it is. My chica has tagged me. Well, that means I have to write five random (and weird) facts about me on this entry. Random? Sure I can do. Weird? I'll give it a shot. Here it comes...

1) Despite the fact that I'm 29, ppl still card me. The weird fact is that ppl still ask me what high school I go to. HIGH SCHOOL??

2) I'm the smallest guy in my unit. Now that I think about it, I've been the smallest guy in nearly every unit I've been in save for basic training. The weird fact is that I was roommates with the biggest guy in the company when I was at Ft. Bragg. Come inspection time, the First Sergeant looked at both of us with the look that seemed to say..o0O(ummmm...ok) *blink* I guess you had to be there to see it.

3) I swim like a cat. That's to say that I'm a terrible swimmer. Seriously, I actually sink. I really need to work just to stay afloat. Some people seem to stay afloat without even trying. What gives??

4) Everynow and again, I get very theatrical. I guess it's strange because I'm a very subdued person and normally don't say very much at all. I have no control over this or how often it happens. You've been warned.

5) When I get really quiet, I think a lot. Often times, I think about what's funny that can go into a good screenplay or a book. When ppl see me smiling for what looks like no reason, they think I'm nuts. What's the big deal? Sanity is over-rated.

I wish I could write more. Cheers.
