My Favorite Movie of All Time

My Favorite Movie of All Time
Field of Dreams. That's my favorite movie of all time. For those of you who know me, I'm sure this comes as a surprise to you. My favorite movie has no action heroes, no fiery explosions, no death defying scenes, no adrenaline-pumping music, or even an impressive display of firearms. In fact, at most there's only the idea of a "gun" in one scene. =)

Although I feel weird admitting this, I can honestly say that this is the one and only movie that I can think of where I felt like crying in the end. I don't know what it is about this movie, but it certainly is an uplifting movie for me.

This is not the kind of film for people who like to sharpshoot at a movie and pick apart what's plausible and what's not. It's not that sort of film anyhow. I think this is the kind of film for people who simply want to dream and for those who seek after something profound.

Because of this film, it is on my "to do" list to visit Dyersville, IA someday, where the movie was filmed. The baseball diamond is
still there.
