Stuff! (and lots of it)
Ok, sorry for avoiding blogging for over a month now. It's going to be the smorgasbord of random happenings again.
Ok, wedding planning is well under way. The wedding is looking like it will happen in February 2007. It's nice because it gives us plenty of time to plan for it. So far, we've booked our reception area to be at Lawry's. I'll be going down again this monday to look for a church in the area to have our ceremony. Off and on, I'm also putting together a Web site announcing our wedding and reception. That should help a lot with coordination.
Now that I'm home, I've been looking for a job. So far, I've applied to a bunch of places in the DC/VA area, here in the Bay Area and down south in SoCal. So far, no responses from anything...and I mean ANYTHING. Don't worry about me tho. I'm not exactly in despair. I'm just irked at not having any feedback.
Lately, I've been re-acquainting myself with people (friends and family) I haven't seen in a long time. It's great because they are the strongest links to your past and will probably be calling you every now and again well into the years.
I feel bad that my hunny is under all that pressure to take her CPA exams. Although my cousin, Judy, has taken it a good while ago herself, I don't think I really understand a whole lot of it. I mean if I did, I'd probably be taking it myself. But anyhow, I wish there was more that I could do to help her. It's really no fun to have that hanging over you.
In some of my spare time, I've been hanging a lot with my parents. I realize that I can't be too terribly far from them. I need to be around to be able to take care of them. I'm totally inspired by how my cousin Bill takes care of my uncle Paul.
I've just recently finished watching season one of the TV series Monk. Man, what a great show. If you're from the Bay Area, you at least need to watch a few episodes. Although the storyline takes place in San Francisco, they make a few mentions in other places like Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, San Mateo, and Santa Clara. Beautifully done Sherlock Holmes-ish show, I say. Honestly, it was because of me watching this show while I was in AZ that made me miss home a lot.
Just got over the flu. It was terrible. I also hear in the papers that this is one of the most strongest strains of the influenza virus sweeping across the nation. I know it all too well. It sucked.
Ok, until next time....laters...
